What You Will Be Doing
Senior Software Product Manager – Driver Experience
ChargePoint is seeking a dynamic
Senior Software Product Manager to lead the development of cloud and mobile products that serve both our networked charging infrastructure and the consumer drivers who rely on it daily. This role offers the opportunity to innovate the next generation of our
driver experience platform and the
ChargePoint mobile app, ensuring a seamless and delightful experience for EV drivers across
navigation,
charging,
marketplace transactions, and
in-app advertising.
You will be expected to deeply understand and articulate the product vision, business strategy, and the evolving needs of EV drivers, station hosts, advertisers, and internal stakeholders such as support, distributors, and partners. Your work will power scalable, global solutions that support the rapid electrification of transportation and elevate the end-user driver experience through advanced mobile and AI technologies.
Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record of delivering Generative AI initiatives and demonstrated expertise in AI/ML technologies—particularly where these have been used to enhance personalization, predictive intelligence, or automation in mobile experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Articulate a compelling product vision, value proposition, and build a strategic roadmap that aligns charger management and mobile product priorities across user personas, including station owners, drivers, and ecosystem partners.
- Define and deliver mobile-first features focused on driver navigation, station discovery, transactional marketplaces, advertising integration, and personalized experiences powered by AI/ML.
- Manage cloud-based software solutions that integrate with hardware infrastructure and mobile platforms, ensuring seamless operation and reliability.
- Ability to work in a fast paced agile environment to articulate detailed product requirements and driver journey use cases, managing features from ideation to launch and continuous iteration.
- Work in a collaborative manner, applying modern product operating principles with Engineering, UX, and Mobile App Development to create best-in-class digital experiences for EV drivers.
- Partner and collaborate with Support, Sales, Pre-Sales, Marketing, Legal, GTM and other internal teams to align product development with customer feedback and market demand.
- Partner with marketing and advertising teams to define mobile-native value propositions, monetization strategies, and dynamic ad experiences.
- Stay ahead of market trends, competitive offerings, and evolving driver needs to inform product direction and differentiation.
- Define metrics and dashboards to monitor and report on driver engagement, app performance, and product success.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical field; MBA or relevant business experience is a plus.
- 10+ years of product management experience, with a proven record of launching consumer mobile apps—especially those focused on navigation, marketplaces, or advertising.
- Experience leading Gen AI or AI/ML product initiatives that improved personalization, user decision support, or operational efficiency.
- Experience integrating hardware and cloud-based systems to deliver connected, intelligent mobile experiences.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a strong understanding of EV industry dynamics, driver behavior, and electric mobility trends, or with a proven track record of quickly learning new industries.
- Proficient in leveraging data analysis, A/B testing, and test-and-learn methodologies to inform decisions.
- Skilled in working across engineering, design, and go-to-market teams in fast-paced, cross-functional agile environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
