The South Carolina gigafactory in Florence will supply next generation cells for BMW starting in 2026. About The Role
The IT Systems Support Analyst plays a critical role in providing support for end-user computing (EUC) devices, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, while assisting Senior Systems Engineers with the virtual environment when needed. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Network and Infrastructure Engineers, to support both project execution and daily operational tasks. You will provide timely and efficient support to end-users through monitoring and maintaining the helpdesk and supporting the creation of new user accounts and hardware deployment. This position offers a dynamic environment where you'll be involved in continuous improvement efforts and IT systems enhancements.

What You Will Do
- End-User Computing (EUC) Support:
- Provide 1st level support for desktop, laptop, and mobile device issues, ensuring timely troubleshooting and resolution.
- Monitor helpdesk tickets, adhering to defined SLAs, and communicate progress and solutions tend-users.
- Perform laptop/PC builds using Manage Engine Endpoint Central and assist with hardware and software deployment.
- User Account Management & Systems Maintenance:
- Perform initial Active Directory account creation and manage user access to shared folders, printers, and other resources.
- Support new user setup, including software installations (Outlook, Teams, etc.) and troubleshooting group policy updates.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to identify and implement improvements for system safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Work alongside Systems Engineers, assisting in troubleshooting and modifying the virtual environment that supports EUC devices.
- Systems Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor system updates, resolve issues, and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
- Support root cause analysis and data-driven problem-solving efforts to enhance system performance.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Capture, deploy, and update system images as needed.
- Provide detailed status updates on helpdesk tasks and maintain accurate documentation for system changes and user account creation.
- Complete other duties as assigned

Work Environment
The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.

Qualifications
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field preferred (equivalent technical coursework or experience may be considered).
- Prior experience in IT desktop support, system administration, or a similar role is preferred.
Skills & Knowledge
- Familiar with Office 365 applications and Administration, and knowledge of Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019/2022 is very helpful.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, group policies, and endpoint management tools such as Manage Engine Endpoint Central.
- Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting EUC environments.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of virtual environments and ability to troubleshoot and assist with system updates and modifications.
- Familiarity with user account creation, system imaging, and general IT system administration.
- Personal Attributes:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have good understanding of root cause analysis (RCA), and problem-solving techniques for issue resolution.
- Experience in information gathering, tracking, and consolidation.
- Works well in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to apply technical problem-solving skills to solve real-world problems.
- Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)

Travel Requirements
Occasional domestic travel may be required to provide onsite support, troubleshooting, or system enhancements at other locations.
What is “Nice to Have”?
- Familiar with Office 365 applications and Administration, and knowledge of Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019/2022.
- Experience working in a manufacturing plant setting providing hands-on support for factory floor systems.
- Familiarity with VMware or other virtualization technologies to support virtual environments.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including basic troubleshooting of connectivity, firewall issues, and VLAN configurations.
- Familiarity with remote desktop management solutions, such as RDP or VNC.
- Experience supporting multiple office locations and remote workforce environments.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or similar technical certifications.
