Senior Designer (Freelancer)
Location : Remote
In this role, you are critical in ensuring the success of Lucid’s Brand Marketing Design Team as a Freelance Senior Designer. You are a designer through-and-through, a true team player working cross functionally within the various marketing channels and departments at Lucid. The Senior Designer is charged with designing consumer facing advertisements such as digital paid media ads and print and digital OOH, as well as experiential collateral such as backdrops, event signage, and vehicle decals. The Senior Designer has a proven storytelling ability to create, design and execute world-class content that delivers against the Lucid standards and drives engagement across any platform.
Senior Designers have a unique perspective and a creative sensibility able to translate across content types. This person understands what type of creative can be executed based on the various types of projects, resulting in refined and deliberate creative. This person is adept at processing complex information into simple design solutions. A highly collaborative role, the Senior Designer interacts with a variety of people day-to-day and needs to be versatile, outgoing, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing both creative needs and team development.
Responsibilities
- You are a designer through and through. This role is about taking a brief from a marketing channel and bringing it to life within the standards and guidelines set by the Lucid Brand Marketing Design team.
- Design consumer facing advertisements such as digital paid media ads and print and digital OOH, as well as experiential collateral such as backdrops, event signage, and vehicle decals
- Be an active part of the design of our print projects; including magazines, brochures, showroom and event kiosks
- Provide and execute against creative target for all project team members.
- Brainstorm concepts, create mockups, refine design details, and prepare assets
- Collaborate with various department (clients), producers, event specialists, product managers to bring their needs to life.
- Partner with the Creative Directors of the Brand Marketing Design Team to lead and enhance our compelling brand vision, architecture and creative voice as a passionate steward, advocate, and gatekeeper of each brand.
- Work collectively across all functions from marketing to engineers and the leadership team to convey the value of the brand within a business context.
- Be immersed in our company values and passions, instilling the integrity of the company and of brand in the look, the feel and the execution of design storytelling
- Maintain constant and consistent communication with clients through email and Teams.
- Solicit, review, and incorporate feedback from team as works best.
- Work with Producers to align on forecasting hours week over week
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of experience working on brand centered design projects.
- Experience working with external agencies, creators and talents
- Skilled in multi-tasking to manage a high volume of creative and content
- Passion for mission-driven brands
- A demonstrated user empathy approach to design and fluency in print and environmental design
- Deep understanding of layout and typography for print and environmentals
- Understanding of the premium luxury space
Requirements
- You are a designer through and through.
- Expertise in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- You are proficient: You have deep experience executing brand and product strategies across print and digital mediums. You bring your brain to the table as well as your awesome creative skills addressing every detail to bring the brand to life.
- You are creative: You have deep knowledge and command of the concept and execution of product + brand communications and how to collaborate with a cross-functional team to get a project done. You are always in ‘idea mode’ and know how to bring people along in your thinking.
- You are a team player: You thrive collaborating with teams and building ideas. You listen to others to solve creative challenges and take direction when needed. You can act either as a leader or as an active participant in meetings, according to the business needs.
- You are effective: You are highly organized and your verbal and written communication is clear and professional as you manage high volume creative guiding various project clients, teams and talents in parallel toward the project goal.
- You are resourceful: You are a self-starter, We are a small, busy team. Our creative output is disproportionate to our size. We do this by being nimble, resourceful problem solvers that work smart.
