Role SummaryAs a Business Analyst in the Service Business Operations team, you will be responsible to support the operational planning needs of the Service organization. The Service Business Operations team works across the organization to use data to inform and aid in the strategic planning and operational decisions in how we allocate resources to support Rivian in its growth. As a Business Analyst, you will partner with various stakeholders and decision-makers across the Service Operations, Finance, and Strategy organizations, compiling and evaluating different initiatives and highlighting the pros and cons of each strategy that the service organization can take. Excellent communication skills and storytelling is essential to present findings to upper management in a clear and concise manner. The Business Analyst, Service Operations will also play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, including data engineers, analysts, and data scientists. The talented individual contributor will be evaluated on your ability to influence your teammates with your recommendations and the operational planning and improvements with the entire Service organization here at Rivian!
Responsibilities- Ideal candidate exhibits strong analytical skills and have proficiency in the following tools: SQL, Advanced Excel, Python, dashboard and presentation development
- Accumulate, clean, and analyze data from different sources, conduct analysis, present insights and enable leaders in decision making
- Drive opportunities for improvements, and lead initiatives for continuous improvement of processes, standards, systems, tools, and workflows
- Act as a bridge between cross-functional partners and field service teams to gather feedback, pinpoint improvement opportunities, and lead initiatives for continuous enhancements
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project tracking tools accessible to all stakeholders to keep a cross-functional task force aligned and on schedule while staying aligned to large company goals
- End-to-end handling of analysis and reporting of critical metrics and KPIs against targets
- Identify process and performance gaps causing misses to critical metrics and KPIs and continuously work towards process, systems, and data improvements
- Organize and re-design team Sharepoint pages, administer access, and manage team Confluence pages
- Develop and present data informed presentations (Google slides/Powerpoint), including storyline, executive summary, charts & content
- Perform additional projects upon request
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or related quantitative major, advanced degree is preferred
- 3+ years of proven experience in a data-driven environment, with a solid understanding of data analysis techniques and methodologies
- An ability to create well-designed dashboards or slide decks to tell a story using data including visualization experience (Tableau, Powerpoint, Google slides)
- Data modeling and visualizations (Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau)
- Concise verbal and written communication; ability to synthesize information into key points
- Strong analytical and problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex business problems into manageable components
- Working knowledge of SQL and Python is preferred
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to stand or sit for 8-10 hours per day
- Required to communicate using telephone and/or e-mail
- Ability to perform all duties in an office environment that may contain ambient noise and temperature fluctuations
Pay DisclosureSalary Range for California Based Applicants: $85k - $107k (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
