Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering & Continuous Improvement Manager. The position will be based at our facility in Hodges, SC. We are offering relocation assistance for the role.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $108749.97 - $159499.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What You’ll Do
Position Overview:
Lead Industry 4.0 projects for the plant with guidance to manufacturing engineering and continuous improvement teams. Build a relationship with the ESA Industry 4.0 Center of Excellence Team and manage projects for the plant. Keep the Plant Manager and senior leaders in the division current with developing technologies. Drive a culture of the discipline and accountability for accelerating Hodges, SC journey to become an I4.0 Lighthouse.
Establish quality and manufacturing systems that support and maintain total quality in all business aspects of the Hodges facility, in support of achieving cost of quality goals and achieving EQMS expectations. Develop expertise within the organization to use SPC and problem-solving techniques to eliminate customer issues. Be an expert in ISO 9001, OpA, and UL/CSA requirements. Maintain supplier quality relationships by partnering with Corporate. Maintain continuous focus on process improvement. Drive implementation of the ELSS, and EQS tools and use them to drive overall improvements to the business goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop detailed deployment plan, tracking and reporting progress on Industry 4.0 projects to all stakeholders.
- Lead manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, continuous improvement and facilities engineering functions.
- Deploy annual planning sessions by partnering with the Plant Manager and develop an operational strategy for Hodges, SC using EBS tools.
- Closely monitor progress on quality systems, quality trainings, and miscellaneous customer quality issues.
- Develop facilities plan for building expansion and maintenance. Provide leadership in making recommendations for capital investments tied to building infrastructure.
- Represents the Cleveland plant as the management representative for ISO 9001. Coordinates and maintains a quality system in compliance with ISO 9001.
- Implements the necessary programs to support the Eaton Corporate Quality Policy, the Eaton Quality System, (EQS) and, the Eaton Lean Six Sigma System, (ELSS)
- Organizes the quality, continuous improvement, facilities, and manufacturing engineering departments, approving plans and expenditures necessary to achieve objectives.
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
- Minimum 2 years managing people or project teams
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Eaton Business System and OpA
- Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Manager certificate
- Certified Six Sigma Greenbelt
- Experience with Eaton Quality Systems, Safety Process, ProLaunch Process
