About The Role
- As a CBRE VAS - Executive Vice President, you will be responsible for and set growth and develop strategies for national or global appraisal practice.
- This job is part of the Valuation function. They are responsible for inspecting and resolving values of land, property, and businesses.
What You'll Do
- Identify the value of a property for estimate. Study the sophisticated appraisal request and project scope to define business solutions.
- Review multifaceted data on the inventory of comparable properties, sales and listings, vacancies, and more.
- Follow the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, keeping information confidential.
- Communicate strategy to executive management. Supply regular reports on progress and metrics. Understand revenue and profitability.
- Set professional roster and corresponding territories. Work with management and Talent Acquisition for recruiting needs and goals.
- Identify large mergers and high-profile acquisition opportunities. Participate in budget conversations with management.
- Present data of other properties, sales, listings, and more to review markets.
- Track value of real estate and the potential for development of property. Participates in industry events and networks.
- Deliver training to staff on the valuation of properties.
- Apply mastery level expertise and breadth of knowledge of the job function and the industry. Provide an external thought leadership mentality that impacts industry developments and trends.
- Demonstrate a wide and detailed proficiency in groundbreaking theories, techniques, and technologies within own function and industry.
- Anticipate business and industry issues and recommend new and innovative ways to respond.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Navigate objections and disagreements. Set the tone for teams to reach an agreement and adopt a different point of view. Be proactive with senior and executive management, customers, regulators, or vendors to influence decisions of visionary and strategic importance.
- Apply resourcefulness and creativity to problem analysis and resolution in complicated and/or novel situations.
- Make decisions that drive the direction and prioritization for functional operations and impact overall business success.
- Significantly impact the design of policies and procedures. Define the direction for products, processes, standards, or business plans based on business strategy.

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred with 15+ years of validated experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. General State Certification or License in at least one state and MAI designation required.
- Independent judgment skills to resolve methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for measuring success.
- Ability to recognize and resolve situations of substantial significance in a field of expertise or knowledge.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Must be meticulously organized and have a proficient inquisitive approach.
