Intro
EV.Careers is currently seeking a full-time Regional Sales Manager for one of our partners that is a leader in the electric vehicle charging infrastructure industry. In this position, you will be responsible for identifying EV infrastructure opportunities, engaging with decision makers, preparing presentations and proposals, and ultimately closing sales within California and occasionally Arizona and Nevada.
Responsibilities
- Develop and build relationships across assigned industry verticals and accounts
- Quickly identify customer pain points and present value propositions solving their problems
- Influence and respond to RFPs
- Identify potential markets for expansion
- Weekly sales forecast reporting
- Customer updates and communication
- Data entry into salesforce-based CRM platform
- Attend and possibly speak at various conferences and expos
- Close infrastructure projects
- Execute Master Services Agreements preferably with Fortune 500 clients and large fleet owner/operators
- Read blueprints and plans to help negotiate and close deals
- Independently hunt for sales opportunities
- Cold call prospective clients
- Present to executive stakeholders (CEO, CFO, PMs, VP of Ops) to get deals closed
- Pitch to internal engineering teams
- Negotiate deals effectively
- On board clients once converted, maintain relationships as primary point of contact, attend meetings and participate in program management
- Assist others in their efforts to close deals
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years' experience in fleet, energy, renewables, EV, or similar field; preferably in sales
- Proven success in strategic account management
- General understanding of construction and electricity
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple, diverse projects in parallel
- General technology understanding in both hardware and software, vehicle, power generation, and charging
- Exceptional oral, presentation and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and modeling skills
- Proven ability to work effectively cross-functionally within an organization
- Ability to engage immediately and confidently with senior influencers and be an excellent relationship builder
- Highly persuasive and excellent at getting things done
- Able to excel under pressure, with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal corporate office face time
- Traveling up 25%-50% of time throughout California (95% of travel), with occasional trips to Arizona and Nevada
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM
- Goal-oriented mindset
- Experience with cold calling
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in EV charging infrastructure
- Experience in solar industry, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), or other renewable energy sectors
- Master's degree in business, Energy, Economics or related field, or relevant consulting experience
