What To Expect
The Workplace Operations Supervisor works as a liaison between site leaders, Tesla employees, and management with regards to space planning, office moves, manufacturing space operations, daily facilities and workplace operations, event coordination, and other logistical needs at our Megafactory III facility in Houston. This role will report to the Workplace Operations Manager to help supervise our lean but mighty Workplace team, manage third party relationships, partner with key stakeholders, manage tenant improvement projects, assist with data analysis for reporting, and further our mission for a more sustainable future through innovation.
What You'll Do
As a self-starter and with guidance by management, receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals, create a roadmap for execution, and using best industry practices to meet these goalsApply department and company guidelines, policies, and best practices to create, propose, and present an execution plan to management for review and approval while executing on these plans to accomplish goalsSupervises the team, third party relationships, and projects/programs at the sites we support for constant improvementAlign with site partners such as Facilities, Security, Transportation, Janitorial, EHS, Culinary, Facilities, HR, Design, Construction, Logistics, Lease Admin, Real Estate, Finance teams, and key stakeholders to review projects, programs, create budgets, procure materials, obtain approvals, issue/manage purchase orders, change management, and support where needed to meet deliverablesProvide support and supervise lab space operations programming, moves, equipment relocations, build outs, space planning, and site operationsManage internal office moves, coordination, seating plans, blocking plans, space requests and hotel desk managementManage event coordination by creating action lists, event schedules, allocating team support, managing budgets, site communications, and event execution
What You'll Bring
3 years of experience in workplace or corporate facilities environment 2 years of experience leading teams of people 1 year of experience in managing lab spaces, tenant improvement projects, and office movesBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceAbility to effectively organize, work, and lead teams in a fast-paced environment under constantly changing priorities and demands Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and technological tools, Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, or experience with drafting test fits and layouts preferredProven ability to support multiple sites and territories simultaneously where local travel between sites is required
