What To Expect
Tesla is searching for a passionate Associate Maintenance Manager highly motivated to lead part of the maintenance department at Gigafactory Nevada in implementing, maintaining and improving our world-class maintenance program. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department including the upkeep of all manufacturing assets and resources while developing and driving the team to continuous success. The Associate Maintenance Manager will oversee multiple shifts of Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians while supporting Tesla’s mission to help accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
What You'll Do
Manage, mentor and lead a team of Supervisors at Gigafactory Nevada focused on manufacturing equipment, specifically within our Battery Module expansion teamTesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operationsBuild and improve management systems to ensure all equipment operates safety, with high availability and product quality and low cycle timeOwn, report on and drive improvement of area KPI's including equipment availability, technician utilization, MTTR and spares consumptionCoach Supervisors and Technicians to execute and communicate equipment servicing needs to increase equipment reliabilityLead and assist Supervisors and Technicians in resolving unplanned down events and driving successful recoveries with high reliabilityMake daily resource allocation decisions, balancing competing priorities, to serve the needs of the maintenance, engineering, and production communities
What You'll Bring
Minimum 3 years of operations maintenance management with hands-on experience in maintaining industrial equipment and automation; Gigafactory Nevada experience preferredDegree in Engineering or equivalent degree preferred, or evidence of exceptional experienceStrong maintenance and reliability knowledge with applicable improvement and/or implementation experience, including safety and risk managementExperience with maintenance database set-up and management, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program implementationExcellent technical knowledge of equipment, products, and processes, including strong Allen Bradley PLC experience; Fanuc and/or Kuka robot experience is a plusProficient in managing maintenance and preventative maintenance through CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) with detail-oriented organizational skills and proficient computer skills in spreadsheets, databases, and word processingExcellent communication, coaching skills, self-motivated, results-oriented, with strong personal skills and a willingness to engage in hands-on work
