What To Expect
The EHS Specialist, Automotive Sales, Service and Delivery (SSD) oversees operations excellence, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction for Automotive SSD operations throughout the regions. They collaborate with leadership, frontline staff, and Tesla teams to ensure EHS excellence and continuous improvement. Developing and implementing EHS policies, programs, and procedures, this role balances strategic and tactical considerations.
This position is based in Denver, CO but will travel across Mountain and North-West region up to 30% of the time.
What You'll Do
Cultivate robust partnerships with leadership and frontline staff, serving as a pivotal advisor in advancing EHS excellence across SSD operationsEnsures key risks and compliance requirements pertaining to environmental compliance, occupational health and industrial safety are identified, escalated, and controlled in all phases of automotive product sales, delivery and service and collision operations. Keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organizationEngage with regulatory agencies as necessary, documenting and managing audits and inspections to uphold compliance standardsCollaborate with teams on technical projects and operational safetySupports L.I.F.E. and high-potential event learnings and the creation and completion of actionsRecruit, train, and empower site EHS ambassadors to implement best practices, conduct inspections, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within day-to-day operationsManages compliance of waste streams with industry-specific knowledge of hazardous waste disposal and transportation regulations and requirements
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in high tech industry or similar environment. Prior experience working with electric vehicles, charging products or infrastructure, vehicle delivery or service operations preferredSuperior knowledge of local, provincial, and federal EHS regulations, industry standards and best practicesPractical, hands-on experience with EHS policy/procedure development, education and training, risk assessments, event analyses and learningAble to influence and communicate effectively with management, EHS leaders, frontline employees, regulators, technical staff, and third-party personnelAbility to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and self-directed

Expected Compensation
$63,360 - $108,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
