What To Expect
We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated, team-oriented Quality Technician to be responsible for evaluating parts produced on various lines (high voltage electro-mechanical, components and subassemblies for Model S/3/X/Y), and end of line testing in a high-speed environment. Quality Technicians will flag production parts found to be suspect or nonconforming, remove from line and support engineering with containment activities through clean point to ensure Tesla standards are being met. They must be prepared to escalate concerns to the appropriate parties and always promote a culture of quality. The purpose of the Quality Technician is to minimize the number of defective parts that are sent to downstream departments and assist multiple teams in maintaining and improving overall part quality, yielding beneficial results and higher efficiency for Tesla.
What You'll Do
Evaluate parts at the start, middle and end of production runsDocument & communicate all identified defectsAbility to create/Close NC’s (Non-Conformance) using MOS and MESGuide production teams to properly disposition parts as good for use, needs repair, or scrapDocument & communicate any identified defects. Escalate concerns that are not being properly resolved in your immediate work areaComprehend current production quality standards and determine if ongoing production meets those standardsCommunicate emerging and trending quality issues to prevent negative impact to the factory

Expected Compensation
Quality Technician I - $24.44 - $27.20/hourQuality Technician II - $28.76 - $31.80/hourQuality Technician III - $31.25 - $36.32/hour

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
