Responsibilities:
The Parts Shipper Receiver is responsible to accurately receipt and stock delivered parts; pick-up and deliver parts ordered from the parts department and during slow times of freight check-in assist the parts advisors in looking up parts, bin counts and assisting in keeping the department clean and organized; at all times providing an exceptional customer experience.
Punctual and regular attendance.
Responsible to receipt delivered parts; update DMS with checked in parts; and organize parts in appropriate bins; or create bin locations for new stock items.
Deliver parts to wholesale customers after verifying that the orders are correct and complete before leaving; collecting monies as specified on delivery notice. Never leaving parts without payment, unless authorized by the Parts Manager.
Pick-up parts ordered by the parts department from local suppliers.
Print invoice from DMS, pull and load parts to ensure order is complete, verify each order for accuracy.
Load company vehicle in such a way as not to damage any parts being delivered from or returning from dealership.
Maintain accurate and complete delivery log.
Pick-up and deliver parts as instructed by manager.
Check Warranty disposition for any parts that need to be shipped or scrapped.
Responsible for keeping the parts department, including aisleways, clean and organized; remove any boxes, transporting them to the dumpster.
Must follow safe driving practices, observe all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
Ability to operate a full size vehicle, change a flat-tire, etc. in all weather conditions.
Ability to follow a navigation system, read maps, understand the metro areas and street numbering systems.
Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the Parts delivery vehicle.
Customer Relations: attentive to customer needs and responsive to customer inquiries where appropriate.
Team Effort: demonstrate a concern for meeting team/departmental needs through activities such as accepting overtime, following up on needed parts, etc.
Practice safe work habits, follow the company’s safety policies, and use personal protective equipment as required.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.
