We're looking for an Electrical Project Engineer Intern to join our Electrical and Electronics Engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Provide and communicate understanding of both the technical and programmatic aspects of a project to the project team as well as the engineering team.
- Support managing subcontracts and support new product development opportunities.
- Ensure project objectives are met.
- Support effective communication between the different engineering teams and the suppliers.
- Support product development for electrical devices.
- Work closely with the electrical teams to successfully drive development for vehicle launch and support manufacturing.
- Work with engineering and program to develop timing schedule.
- Support electrical Jira projects to report status and escalate any high-risk issues.
- Collaborate with Electrical project engineering to ensure cohesive communication between the domains.
- Continuously support electrical team and help identify and/or fill in any necessary gaps.
- Assist Senior management in continuously improving reporting systems and engineering methodologies.
- Develop and manage a project timeline using Smartsheet.
- Proficient at using Excel to collect data from multiple sources and organize it.
- Perform other duties, as necessary.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. program, in EE, EET, ME, MET, Automotive Engineering, or related degree, with a focus on working with electrical and electronics principles is preferred
- Familiarity with electrical and electronics principles.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, OneNote, and Outlook.
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, JIRA, and JAMA (or similar) for project management
- The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group setting
- The ability to work independently
- The have the ability to deliver succinct written and verbal communication
Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
