Intern Position Summary:
EVgo is looking for a System Validation Intern to join the Hardware team for the 2023 summer internship season. The role involves validating charger-generated fault codes. In the process, the System Validation Intern will have an opportunity to learn EV charger interfaces, protocols, safety standards, and industry standards for successful charge sessions.
This role works directly with our chargers so the candidate must be able to work out of our innovation lab in El Segundo, California for the duration of the internship.
Internship duration: 12-weeks, up to 29-hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritizes fault code validation on EV chargers based on occurrence.
- Validates each fault code for its correctness.
- Communicates the results and works with system engineers to get the corrections made in hardware / firmware to generate fault code.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
For job positions in CA, CO and NYC, the hourly rate for this position is $22.00 USD.
