What To Expect
We are seeking a highly-skilled technician to introduce new parts and processes to our manufacturing lines. This person will directly solve technical issues both on the manufacturing lines and in prototype shops
What You'll Do
Organize and execute high volume manufacturing part trials. Collect results and provide feedback to engineers while meeting KPIs (Safety, Quality, OEE, Production targets) Troubleshoot vehicle systems and manufacturing processes by collaborating with engineering, quality, and operations Perform complex and precise Electro-mechanical assemblies without supervision Build prototype sub-assemblies up to and including full vehicles Collaborate on the validation and commission of prototype manufacturing equipment Organize, execute and ship engineering validation builds for test engineers Work in a shop or factory environment, lifting up to 35 lbs repetitively to accomplish aggressive project timelines
What You'll Bring
- Hands-on experience and tool proficiency. Minimum 3 years' experience working with vehicles, equipment or electromechanical assemblies a plus
- Strong understanding of multidiscipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) engineering fundamentals
- Manufacturing environment education or experience strongly recommended
- A desire to improve Tesla products and drive to develop your skills and knowledge
- Able to solve technical problems with only high-level direction
- The ability to thrive in either team or individual contributor environments
- Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical documentation (drawings, schematics, assembly manuals, verbal instructions)
- Strong communication skills
