Scope of Position

The Manager - Installation Partnerships will play a crucial role in managing relationships with installation partners, including pre and post contract negotiations & RFQ, maintaining a comprehensive quote database, assisting with the estimating feedback loop, and expanding our installation partnerships in new markets. Project types will include Solar, Storage, Electric Vehicle Charging, & Microgrids.
Responsibilities
- Manage pre and post contract RFQs, including reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating subcontractor proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements and company objectives
- Maintain and update a comprehensive quote database to enable efficient and accurate cost tracking and reporting
- Partner in the development and improvement of the estimating feedback loop, collaborating with the estimating team to identify areas for optimization and enhance labor cost accuracy
- Identify, vet, and qualify potential subcontractors in new markets, ensuring they align with our company's standards for quality, safety, and environmental responsibility
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors to foster a collaborative working environment and ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery
- Monitor subcontractor performance, providing feedback and support as needed to ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, estimating, and project management teams, to support successful project execution
- Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in renewable energy and construction to inform company strategy and support continuous improvement
Qualifications
Education / Experiences
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a project manager in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on solar, BESS, microgrids, and/or EVSE projects
- Prior experience as a contractor is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success in managing subcontractor relationships, including negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Strong understanding of renewable energy construction processes, technologies, and industry regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and estimating tools
- Professional certifications, such as PMP or CEM, are a plus
Physical RequirementsRemaining in a seated position. Long hours on computer keyboard. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds regularly/occasionally Working Conditions90% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 10% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in additional to attending various conferences and meetings.
