Consider before applying: This position is expected to start around May/Jun and continue through Aug/Sep. Internships are in-person for 40 hours a week for a minimum of 12 weeks. Please consider before submitting an application.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week. Many students will be limited to part-time depending on their academic standing.

About The Team
The Firmware Localization team implements localized features by region on the Infotainment displays of Tesla’s fleet. When a customer interacts with our vehicles, how the text is viewed (language, size, font) affects their experience. You will work with developers, product managers, linguists, and designers to ensure we are delivering the best-in-class user experience when new features are added to the UI. You will view our products through the eyes of the customer and help provide the most awesome user experience imaginable.
What You'll Do
Manage translation projects on Smartling for UI features, Mobile App, and Release Notes contentInitiate actions that will improve process and translation qualitySupport new market initiatives in international regionsPerform daily testing and validation support for localized languagesDevelop style guide and glossary for UI and Mobile App LocalizationServe as point of contact for external linguistsSupport with admin and follow-up tasks for translation projects and bugs on JIRA
What You'll Bring
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field of study with a gradation date between 2024 - 2025Able to work a minimum of 16 weeksExcellent written and spoken communication in English and another languageExperience with copywriting, editing, and using style guides is a plusStrong project management skillsBasic coding and scripting skills (Linux, C++, bash) a plusPrior experience with software development and program management tools (Jira, GIT/Stash, Confluence) is preferred but not required

Expected Compensation
$30.05 - $42.07/hour + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
