Consider before submitting an application:
This position is expected to start around August 2024 and continue through the entire Fall term (i.e through December 2024) or into Spring 2025 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

Your application for the Vehicle Hardware Engineering - Radio Frequency Internship will be considered across all opportunities for the teams listed below:
The Antenna team applies first-principles for the design, integration test, and production of antenna solutions in a fast paced product development environment. Connectivity is an important feature in all Tesla cars, and aim to further enhance the driving experience by providing access to features that require wireless data usage.The Audio Software team is responsible for audio system integration and quality from transducers to software. The team aims to improve the audio quality in all automotive audio features.The EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) team works on the product design, simulation, debugging, and testing for EMC for current and next generation vehicle programs and towards Tesla's vision of fully autonomous vehicles. The Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) team focuses in two core functions – product design and validation for EMC. We work closely with different teams like Electrical, Mechanical, vehicle integration, harness, and homologation to achieve quality and schedule targets. For the product design, we are responsible for the aspects of Electromagnetic compatibility in the electrical and mechanical development like filtering, shielding, and ESD protection. In addition, the team covers the EMC validation at the module level and vehicle level for radio noise, ESD, Radiated Emissions, Radiated Immunity, Conducted Emissions, Conducted Immunity, and homologation for regulatory compliance.The Radio Turner team works on our on-going Radio Turner product development activities, which encompasses a wide variety of tasks. You will learn and apply the radio turner standards including architecture, hardware, software, and its function.The Wireless Connectivity team focuses on developing high quality wireless technologies on various Tesla vehicle platforms. The role involves embedded software design, development and validation of wireless telematics systems across cellular, WiFi, and Bluetooth technologies for Tesla vehicle platforms.The Wireless Hardware team helps connect vehicles to users by exploring new technologies such as UWB, WiFi, and Bluetooth. You will be responsible for designing , developing, and testing hardware systems that enable seamless communication between vehicles and users.
What You'll Bring
Currently pursuing a Degree in Electromagnetics, Radio Frequency Engineering, Antenna Design, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related fieldStrong skills in Python/numpy, MATLAB, C/C++ or equivalent tools for modeling and analysis Experience with radio frequency, analog, and digital circuit designExperience with PCB design and component selectionExperience on using test and measurement equipment specially for radio frequency like spectrum analyzer, Vector Network Analyzer, oscilloscopes, signal generators, arbitrary waveform generators, etcFamiliarity with an EM 3D design tool is a plusData analysis, report writing, and presentation skills

Expected Compensation
$20.00 - $60.00/hour + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
