What To Expect
Disclaimer: This position is expected to start May 2024 and continue through the entire Summer term (i.e., through August/September) or into early Fall 2024 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time, for most internships. Please consider before applying.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. Again, please do not apply until you know you can work 40 hours per week. This is required for external applicants. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.
Internship Program at Tesla
The Internship Recruiting Team is driven by the passion to recognize emerging talent. Our year around program places the best students in positions that they will grow both technically and personally through their experience working closely with their Manager, Mentor, and team. We provide an experience that allows for the intern to experience life at Tesla by giving them projects that are critical to their team’s success.
The Contract Analyst Intern will assist in identifying and systematizing the operational obligations from our global commercial energy contracts. They will review contracts to identify standard and non-standard obligations and ensure that the obligations are cataloged, organized, and traceable for successful fulfilment. The Analyst Intern will also work to driving improvements in Standard Operating Procedures, documenting the changes to the new and improved process, and providing regular updates to the overall program.
The Analyst Intern will work cross-functionally with multiple internal stakeholders, such as Sales, Legal, System Performance, Asset Management, and Financial Operations. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
In addition, Tesla will work to make special projects of interest available during the course of this internship. While the exact scope of projects may vary, Tesla hopes that this exposure will give the intern a variety of unique experiences and challenges to help solve.

Review Energy Service and Sales contracts, capturing contractual obligations in internal database to systematize Tesla Energy’s offerings and ensure contractual complianceManage and guide internal stakeholders through contract execution process for new and existing projectsPeriodically perform analysis of contract documents and commitments per internal requestsSupport data validation efforts to ensure consistency among internal platforms and toolsSupport the development of internal databases and tools to further enhance obligation tracking and provide inputs to improve existing platforms

Expected Compensation
$25.00 - $32.00/hour + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
