What To Expect
The Engineering Technician is tasked with understanding andimproving processes to ensure manufacturing lines produce quality productssafely and efficiently. This role willinteract with many cross functional teams and will require flexibility tosupport Engineering, Quality, New Product Introduction (NPI) and additionalorganizations. A Engineering tech is thego-to person to evaluate necessary changes to the line, support quick fixes andto improve line reliability.
What You'll Do
Provide daily coverage of production line processes toensure smooth and effective operations, including a rapid response toout-of-control processes to minimize cost and maximize productivity Investigateand implement countermeasures to improve product yieldEvaluate all the joining related issues, provide andimplement temporary and permanent solution for the sameTroubleshoot the joining equipment during downtime. Evaluateequipment performance on regular basis. Take actions to prevent prematurefailures on the equipmentPerform checks / Preventative maintenance on joiningequipment like, resistance weld controllers, SPR, lasers, drawn arc studwelders, Adhesive equipment.Perform calibration on equipment on regularly defined periodPerform joining inspection task using ultrasonic testers,chisel, visual test, etcDo regular / rigorous cleaning of equipment, keep then cleanneat and up to date
What You'll Bring
Hands on experience on joining technology,mechatronic or robotics is highly preferredStrong proficiency in common workplace software(MS Word, Excel, Visio, Access, etc.)Proven ability to draw accurate conclusions fromtest data, malfunctions, or deviations, and assist with corrections to theexisting processSkilled with the use of a variety of hand andportable toolsAbility to read and interpret basic mechanicaldrawings and electrical schematics
