Inside the Role
As a member of the Freightliner Custom Chassis team, you are responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues on products using proper service procedures and technics. The candidate for this position will have a passion for process improvements, a keen eye to detail, and love numbers. CST position offers a starting salary of $24.25/hr. up to top pay of $36.75/hr. *Additional $2.00 shift differential for off-shifts.
What You Drive at DTNA:
Diesel, gasoline, and alternative fuel systems (Electric Vehicle, CNG, Propane)
Steering system and axle alignment procedures
FCCC product HVAC (Heating and air conditioning)
FCCC product - electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, cooling, and brake systems
Knowledge You Should Bring:
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and schematics.
Must be able to furnish own tools.
Must be able to communicate well with customers, peers, and other departments. Assist as required in all phases of problem resolution.
Due to customer demands, this position is exempt from the daily overtime requirements of the FCCC Overtime Policy.
Perform Other Duties As Required By The Supervisor
High school diploma (or equivalent) preferred.

Some travel may be required occasionally. Travel at short notice and work flexible hours.
The final candidate must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
Ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months of employment
Exceptional Candidates Might Have:
Associate's degree in automotive truck mechanics preferred
3-5 years of experience in all facets of repair and service of commercial vehicles
