Role SummaryThis position is for Connectivity SW team. In this role you will be responsible for Automation development. Role includes automation framework development, automating new features, bug fixing and working with cross-functional teams. In addition to automation development, you are responsible for system integration.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute automated tests across multiple Vehicle platforms
- Manage test schedule of multiple automated vehicle test setups for efficient utilization of test resources
- Ensure safe operation of automated vehicle test setups, generating and enforcing operating procedures
- Ensure uptime of automated vehicle test setups, schedule maintenance and inspections
- Source automated vehicle test equipment as required, develop inhouse when appropriate
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to install automated test setups to meet project deadlines
- Debug issues with automated test setups, test scripts
- Create dashboard for automated test results
Qualifications- A degree in either Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Software Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in software development or automation role
- Strong understanding of electromechanical systems
- Strong Python skills, coding with C/C++
- Understanding of object oriented concepts
- Ability to thrive under pressure and apply creative and critical thinking to deliver exceptional results
- Good team player with excellent communication skills
Additional preferred skills:
- Experience with automotive protocols, such as CAN
- Experience with build infrastructure (make, Scons, Jenkins, etc)
- Experience with robotic automation
- Experience working on embedded devices
- Linux basics
- Experience in Wireless technologies (Bluetooth, WiFi, UWB, etc)
- Android/IOS automation or mobile app development
Pay DisclosureSalary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: 116,000 USD - 145,000 USD (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
