About the Role
Nuvve is looking for a Grants Manager to join our team to identify and manage all governmental, foundation, and corporate grant submissions. The Grants Manager is responsible for overseeing the grants process from research to submission, ensuring that all application requirements are fulfilled at the highest quality. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and a clear communicator with strong written and verbal skills, representing Nuvve’s interest with high-level professionalism.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop annual grants / funding programs strategy that identifies targets and task timetable for renewal and new applications
- Research and track existing and emerging public grant opportunities relevant to service areas and programs
- Provide earliest possible notice and assessment of emerging funding opportunities and facilitate a clear, orderly decision-making process regarding their response
- Coordinate with leadership in developing responses to those funding opportunities being pursued
- Work closely with the Sales / Business Development teams to include relevant funding opportunities into customer facing proposals
- Research and develop profiles needed to evaluate/prioritize prospective foundation and corporate supporters
- Engage with prospective customers, e.g., school districts etc. to assist with applications and fulfillment of grants requirements
- Develop and maintain systems for tracking status and deadlines of all funding applications, renewals and reports for governmental and private funders
- Prepare and submit funding proposals for general operating, program support and capital programs as appropriate
- Manage grant writer(s), providing supervision, project oversight and feedback
- Facilitate interagency cooperation to ensure the nongovernment and government grant application process is managed for the benefit of the organization
- Coordinate efforts to ensure that the company's products meet the eligibility criteria for target funding programs, including the process of updating vendors / products approved lists
- Provide outstanding stewardship for foundation and corporate funders, ensuring reports, other updates and requests are completed on time or early
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business / public administration, Government Relations or similar
- 5+ years of experience in business development, fundraising and funding program coordination, or GR management experience, with proven success in developing proposals (researching, writing, budgeting) for submission to institutional funders
- Understanding of project management approaches, procedures and KPIs
- Clear communicator, both written and verbal, with a strong attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet research, and donor database management programs
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platform
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills, with a professional demeanor and ability to build rapport and credibility with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to organize, prioritize and, as appropriate, delegate tasks to balance responsibilities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to present program information and financial reports to funders in compelling terms
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team setting
- Effective problem solver who is results oriented, adaptable and willing to contribute when needed
- Proven capacity to maintain patience/tolerance and tact/diplomacy in challenging situations
- Experience working in diverse settings with people across all socio-economic spectrums and a wide variety of personalities and roles - staff, clients, local agencies, contractors, lenders, etc.
- Working knowledge of Inflation Reduction Act tax credits
