Slate is a new US company developing products and services for the electric vehicle space.
Who we are looking for:
Slate is looking for an energetic, organized, and experienced Interior Design/Release Engineer to join our growing team. The DRE will be responsible for design and development of the interior components and related structures across the organization.
What you get to do:
- Be an integral part of an energetic team that's challenging the status quo of vehicle design.
- Responsible for the design and development of interior components and assemblies.
- Develop and implement functional objectives to meet project performance targets.
- Manage all aspects of interior component development to meet project requirements including performance, cost, mass, timing, manufacturability, etc.
- Lead collaboration between internal/external teams and suppliers to meet all project requirements.
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent.
- 8+ years of vehicle design and release experience in the areas of interior trim including Seats, Cockpit Module, Pillar\Roof Trim, etc.
- Knowledge of design considerations required for plastic/composite components.
- Proven communication and team building skills.
- Broad knowledge of NHSTA/FMVSS requirements related to interior components.
- Ability and Desire work in a fun and fast paced environment
