We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas.
Job Summary: The Network Engineer II is responsible for providing day-to-day operational support and maintenance of the infrastructure network. They troubleshoot network issues and collaborate with other IT teams and third-party providers to deliver network services. Additionally, the engineer provides enterprise-level customer support through phone, email, and online trouble-reporting portals.
Essential Duties
- Ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, support, and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN daily.
- Ensure the management of service requests, incidents, and problems is carried out through a dedicated ticketing system.
- Exercise sound judgment by engaging management in resolving customer issues as deemed necessary.
- Assess future network needs and plan for necessary changes.
- Lead and/or participate in projects to add required business functionality or address ongoing network issues.
- Review network security and recommend increased security measures on the network.
- Manage service requests, incidents, and problems through a ticketing system.
- Maintain services by managing relationships with third-party network providers such as AT&T and Spectrum.
- Interface with cabling vendors to accomplish tasks related to new drops, repairs of existing drops, and other cabling projects.
- Interface with the operations support team to instruct them to collaborate with third-party network providers and/or cabling vendors to complete tasks for installing and maintaining network services.
- Understand the issues administering and maintaining corporate infrastructure, including wired/wireless connectivity, internet access, etc.
- Be available for on-call support after hours and on weekends when issues arise.
- Ensure compliance with all Panasonic policies and procedures, including but not limited to SOX compliance.
- Escalates unresolved customer issues promptly.
- Regular updates regarding the status of the environment are to be provided to the management team consistently.
- Exercises good judgment by involving management in resolving customer issues as necessary.
- Report to the management team the status of the environment on a regular basis.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements
- To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employee’s, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PECNA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Education
- Basic/Required: Bachelor’s degree required desired in Business or IT
Essential Qualifications
- At least three years of experience as a network administrator utilizing contemporary technologies is necessary.
- Proficient in the intricacies of Service Desk and Customer Support Center operations.
- Ability to work on multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously.
- Exhibits an exceptional level of self-motivation and a high degree of organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service skills to establish working relationships and provide superior support at all organizational levels.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively explain and present technical information.
- Effectively train/advise users on information technology issues.
- Approachable and adaptable, this is a fast-paced environment where priorities are constantly changing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possesses over five years of network administration experience and is proficient in utilizing contemporary technologies.
- Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent is a testament to your expertise and will be highly valued in this role—experience supporting enterprise environments where network reliability is mission-critical.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
