Position Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our financial operations. In this position, you'll be responsible for contributing to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, ensuring compliance with SOX controls, and collaborating with various teams to track costs and revenues accurately. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Accounting and Financial Systems and presents an excellent opportunity to engage with a diverse range of accounting functions and key business partners, contributing to our team's success.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Accounting team with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing in compliance with established close deadlines including, but not limited to, the following:
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations including investigation and resolution of reconciling differences;
- Prepare and book journal entries; and
- Ensure proper backup documentation is retained for reconciliations and journal entries.
- Financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Support with financial statement disclosures and schedule preparations.
- Complete audit requests and inquiries from external auditors and other third parties.
- Partner with FP&A and IT teams to determine intercompany allocation of revenues and costs to corresponding subsidiaries.
- Effectively collaborate with Account Management and Legal teams to accurately track and report revenues and expenses in compliance with US GAAP related to certain contracts including grant programs and provide operational efficiencies.
- Manage and execute SOX controls related to select revenue and costs, ensuring compliance with the Company’s internal control over financial reporting and identifying and addressing any deficiencies.
- Ownership of construction related reimbursement and invoicing process for the eXtend customer contracts and grant programs.
- Manage and review offshore team’s day-to-day activities and work product.
- Perform and prepare ad hoc analysis, tasks, and reporting and special projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA is preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting work experience
- Understanding of SOX and internal controls preferred
- Experience working with an accounting software package (Oracle NetSuite proficiency preferred)
- Sitetracker/Salesforce and Coupa knowledge is a plus
- Extensive working knowledge of GAAP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Deadline oriented and excellent time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization and with external stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills
For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $90,000 USD to $100,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus, and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
