The Prototype Engineering and Fabrication team is looking for experienced Automotive Technicians looking to advance their automotive career. You must be highly motivated and flexible to adapt to the fast-paced work environment at Tesla.
What You'll Do
Retrofit and modify prototype vehicles to accept new hardware designs from EngineeringBuild custom prototypes and bucks vehiclesDiagnose and repair failures found with prototypesProvide failure analysis and design concerns back to EngineeringGeneral fleet maintenance and repair
What You'll Bring
3+ years’ Automotive Tech repair, diagnostic, and troubleshooting experienceTechnical certification from accredited automotive training institution preferredEquipped with own tools, with ability to operate and maintain various hand and power toolsAbility to operate and maintain shop tools and equipmentWilling to work a flexible scheduleAbility to travel and work between locations within the California Bay AreaWork independently and/or collaboratively as part of a teamAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment and meet tight deadlinesShow attention to detail and accuracyHave the ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities/schedulesMust have command of the English language, both written and verbalOutlook, Excel and MS Office

Expected Compensation
$27.00 - $72.00/hour, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
