Position OverviewNavistar is currently seeking a System Integration – Process Improvement Manager.
Navistar's System Integration team is responsible for the calibration development and integration management of control modules on our vehicles. The engineer in this position will help lead the process development that the team will use throughout the product development cycle from charter to Job 1 & beyond. This position will participate in the development of the latest industry technologies such as Diesel Powertrain, Electric Vehicle (EV), Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and Autonomous driving vehicles.
The System Integration – Process Improvement Manager is responsible for developing and documenting processes for workflow of software verification and calibration development activities. They will lead process improvement initiatives with the support of the System Integration Chief Engineers and Engineering Program Managers. These processes will be implemented and iterated on active development programs. The System Integration – Process Improvement Manager will also have the opportunity to work cross functionally with different departments throughout Navistar & Traton to align processes.
Responsibilities- Define, revise, and document development processes in Polarian, Jira, Auros, etc.
- Identify gaps in existing processes and create remediation plans.
- Understand previous failures in processes and apply lessons learned.
- Present process proposals to management.
- Demonstrate effectiveness of new/updated processes in active programs.
- Support Systems Integration management team in execution of product development programs.
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
- At least 5 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience
OR
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
- At least 3 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience
OR
- PhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
Additional Requirements- Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
