What To Expect
We are looking for a Purchasing Operations Lead to manage our tactical purchasing support function in North America. The role requires strong cross-functional working relationships with product management, finance, and various other internal stakeholder teams. You will interact with stakeholders across all levels of the organization supporting them in their purchasing activities, ensuring compliance with internal procurement policies and requirements. You will require a sharp business focus, a collaborative style of working, and a proactive and critical mindset. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills are crucial. Tesla is a fast moving, dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are key attributes. The successful candidate is a self-starter with an understanding of purchasing fundamentals, and the ability to evaluate trend data to identify areas of improvement.
What You'll Do
Lead tactical team in review of purchase requisitions and supplier documents ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and requirementsSupport business users with supply chain related questions collaborating with other business units to drive operational improvementsDrive spend reviews identifying areas of improvement in terms of purchasing supportAssess current operational processes for areas of improvement, identifying potential efficiency gains or compliance gapsDrive supply chain process standardization through day-to-day operations and in collaboration with relevant stakeholder groupsLeverage existing tools, systems, and data sets to eliminate manual touches where possibleAct as a purchasing liaison for teams outside of purchasing in terms of general questions and user guidance
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalentProficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to describe processes in a clear and concise manner and provide succinct results-oriented supply chain supportExceptional communication, and interpersonal skillsExperience working across and successfully supporting multiple internal stakeholders (supply chain, finance, etc.)Experience with ERP systems, and purchase order processing preferred

Expected Compensation
$68,000 - $252,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
