What To Expect
The Regional Field Trainer – position requires candidates currently in Tesla Technical Service to accelerate Tesla’s mission with specific focus on Technical Skill Development, Validation and shoulder to shoulder on-site coaching. Ideal candidates will have an exceptional ability to assess technical skills, develop & deliver appropriate performance support and coaching solutions, and build strong working relationships with the field. Individuals must be engaging, proactive, organized, flexible, results-oriented, and have a passion for and understanding of Tesla vehicles.
The Regional Field Trainer will report to the Regional Manager or Territory Operations Manager and will be supported by the Service L&D Program Manager. The role’s key focus is to increase opportunities for Field Technical Skills and professional development opportunities for individuals as part of the Rotational Leadership Program.
What You'll Do
Partner with Territory Director, Regional Service Managers, Service Managers, Service Coaches, and Training Team to identify training and development needs within their regionProvide on-site coaching and guidance to support the development of critical Service skills aligned with regional objectivesDevelop individualized learning plans to ensure individual service employees and regions meet readiness targets and associated business metricsPartner with Service Coaches within market to enhance core capabilities and ensure continuous process improvementReview and provide feedback on training curriculum developed by the Service L&D teamProvide ongoing training and development support in Field to ensure a problem-solving mindset is applied and effectively utilized across ServiceProvide service specific training to Tesla Service on electric vehicles equipped with complex automotive/electromechanical systems (powertrain, passive restraint system, steering/suspension/brakes, thermal management)
What You'll Bring
S3 technician or higherUp to 75% travel, must have a valid Driver’s LicenseStrong automotive system repair knowledge and training experienceDegree from a University, Certificate program in Automotive Technology, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional abilityAbility to read, interpret, and explain mechanical drawings and electrical schematicsStrong ability to collaborate and serve as a partner/consultant to regional leadership and staffDemonstrated ability to lead complex problem-solving activities and initiatives
