What To Expect
The Vehicle Operations Planning team is looking for a highly skilled long-term capacity planner to support (but not limited to) our Service operations. The Capacity Planner monitors the movement of parts between multiple shops to ensure daily operational performance while also forecasting future constraints based on shop level capacity vs. business demand
The Capacity Planner will work closely with Demand Planning, Material Planning, and shop leads to drive both short and long term solutions to support service demand while also balancing the needs of factory level production. The Capacity Planner will be responsible for developing the weekly service schedule, communicating it out to the organization and managing all plan changes.
What You'll Do
Drive, lead, and provide strategic recommendations for business capex requirements, facilitating essential discussions to bridge factory manufacturing capacity with program demandAnalyze demand intricacies to steer service workforce labor planning, optimize equipment utilization, and craft operational strategies for both sustaining and new programs Forecast and develop both short-term and long-term operation and fulfillment strategies to ensure proactive and adaptive planning Develop tactical action plans in collaboration with multiple stakeholders, adjusting strategies in real-time based on evolving production shop conditions Lead discussions with cross-functional teams (Material Planning, Demand Planning, Production, Logistics, Packaging, Factory Design and Finance) to execute actions within necessary timelines Identify issues and highlight opportunities for continuous improvement in our systems and processes, enhancing the efficiency of the service program Align and validate data and inventory control across multiple shops for enhanced accuracy and operational efficiency
What You'll Bring
BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Planning, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent 2+ years of prior manufacturing experience in a similar position, demonstrating a deep understanding of capacity planning dynamics Ability to excel under pressure, effectively prioritize multiple programs, and consistently meet dynamic deadlines Project/Program management experience, with certifications being a valuable asset Detail-oriented mindset with a strong understanding of inventory management principles Driven and self-starting mentality, dedicated to achieving results within challenging timelines Adaptive and flexible approach to accommodate ever-changing business needs
