Tesla’s Engineering training team is seeking an Instructional Designer to create engaging educational experiences for Tesla employees worldwide. This Designer must be energized by quick timelines and excited to change the world. The ideal candidate is not satisfied with status quo - their target is exceptional.
What You'll Do
Using ADDIE method, design engaging web-based and instructor led courses for adult learnersPartner with Subject Matter Experts to identify goals, audience, and objectivesCreate course outlines, storyboards, and scripts that meet learning objectivesWrite task-based assessment questions that measure objectivesOrganize course materials in a learning hierarchy enabling objectivesIdentify content delivery strategies that provide the best learning experienceCollaborate to promote innovative approaches and enhance productivityExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, especially with problem solving and relationship buildingWork with global teams to gather region-specific content and build localized training for global implementationOwn the entire project from beginning to end
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Communications, Business, Engineering, Psychology or a similar technical or people-oriented fieldExperience developing online training and performance improvement materialsExperience with e-Learning authoring tools such as Captivate, Articulate, or similar productsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsProject management, self-management and multi-tasking skillsThorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelExperience maintaining or updating course material within an LMS preferred. Experience building and maintaining a course asset databaseExpected to challenge and to be challenged, to create, and to innovateIntermediate knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite development software a plusCandidates are expected to provide a portfolio of their work

Expected Compensation
$64,000 - $240,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
