Within a short time, Nikola trucks will be the largest consumer of merchant hydrogen. To maintain a safe & reliable supply of hydrogen fuel to our customers, Nikola must build the largest hydrogen logistics business in the US.
ResponsibilitiesThe Director, HYLA Logistics & Trucking will report to Nikola’s Global Head HYLA, Commercial and Logistics. In this key role, you will work to build from the ground up, a new state of the art liquid and gaseous hydrogen planning and logistics system. You will develop work processes to plan, deliver, and measure hydrogen delivery safety, reliability, and efficiency through KPI tracking.
Success in the role means building out a world class hydrogen logistics business to supply Nikola’s growing fleet of heavy-duty fuel cell Class 8 truck customers.
The successful candidate will have 7+ years of industrial gas logistics and planning leadership experience, with keen commercial and business acumen. The candidate must be able to thrive in a fast moving, quickly developing emerging business to ensure reliability to Nikola customers. You must be a driven, self-motivated, and organized person able to develop and execute new processes at a fast pace. You will play an impactful role in shaping the US push to zero emission transportation solutions. Preference is for candidate to live in Phoenix but will consider other locations for the locations in the right circumstance.
QualificationsCandidates should have an undergraduate or graduate degree and 5+ years in industrial gas, CNG, or LNG, logistics experience and an additional 5+ years in logistics or engineering. 15+ years of related experience in Advanced degrees are an asset.
Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
