Nikola is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor who will be a key decision-maker on all aspects of a warehouse, including receiving, storage, inventory, logistics, distribution, transportation, hiring and training. The role is based in Coolidge, AZ.
Responsibilities- Manage the logistical needs of our production facility's warehouse and ensure operations meet our quality and safety goals
- Ensure the highest operational standards utilizing our inventory management software and other organizational computer applications
- Responsible for all shipping and receiving coordination (UPS, FedEx, LTL Freight, Truckload), related systems-work (E2, internal schedules) and paperwork requirements
- Receive goods and verify that all shipments arrive secure and complete, match goods received to description on documents and report any discrepancies to management
- Distribute and inventory goods to the correct location
- Process shipping and receiving requirements in an organized and timely format
- Coordinate shipping/end of day reports and communicate tracking information internally
- Negotiate competitive spot-rates with motor carriers/brokers
- Oversee the physical and systematic inventory management/part maintenance of all incoming raw material; to be properly labelled and efficiently organized
- Maintain a neat, organized, sufficiently labelled and lean warehouse area
- Work to drive continuous improvement into the procurement, inventory, and cost control functions of the organization
- Load and unload trucks as required
Qualifications- Minimum four years of operations experience in a fast-paced environment; Automotive/Heavy Duty truck manufacturing experience is preferred
- Minimum one year of experience with a forklift
- High School diploma/equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, Engineering, or Business is preferred
- Experience with complicated supply chains including managing multiple supply points from across multiple continents is necessary
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict
- Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening
- Exceptional time management and organization skills
- Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must have full mobility, and be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time
