Nikola Energy is looking for a highly talented and experienced Lead, Planner and Scheduler for the development and execution of hydrogen infrastructure projects to successfully produce, transport and dispense hydrogen for Class 8 FCEV truck usage.
In this important role, you will work closely with project development, project management and technical SMEs in planning, developing, and executing hydrogen infrastructure projects. You will interact with Partner counterparts as well as Engineering, Vendor, Fabricator and Constructor counterparts. Infrastructure projects include feasibility, pre-FEED, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Regulatory, Permitting, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Start-up phases.
You will work within cross-functional Infrastructure teams and build strong, strategic relationships with Partners, Vendors and EPC contractors to develop project execution planning, developing integrated master schedules, monitor progress, complete review and analysis, mitigate schedule conflicts and delays, complete comprehensive reporting and ultimately assist project leadership in driving the project to a successful completion.
You Will:
- Develop plans for the execution of complex projects
- Develop and maintain level 1 informational schedules, level 2 integrated master schedules and level 3 Owner schedules
- Oversight of EPC level 3 schedule development, monitoring, and analysis
- Identify and mitigate critical and near-critical paths
- Manage resource loading and balancing
- Coordinate internal and external schedule reviews and assessments
- Collaboration with partners, vendors, and EPC contractors
- Strategic planning to successfully source equipment and materials in a challenging global market
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with services providers, engineering, procurement, and construction contractors
- Develop and manage project goals and performance KPI’s
- Maintain a proactive schedule assessment and reporting program keeping project leadership aware of schedule risks and potential schedule outcomes
QualificationsYou bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Construction Management or relevant experience
- 10+ years in Energy related projects
- Experience working in EPC Companies and Owner/Producer Companies preferred
- Strong Primavera P6 software expertise
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strategic and analytical thinker
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have the ability to understand and accurately interpret engineering, procurement and construction documents
- Experience working in hydrogen projects is a plus
- Domestic travel as required
