What To Expect
The Portable CMM Technician, will ensure that all products meet customer and company requirements, by performing inspections of individual components, stampings, castings, and supplier parts. The effective candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail oriented, and have the ability to work independently. The technician must establish and maintain a professional working relationship with external and internal teams at all levels across the company. The technician needs to be able to balance multiple projects requiring varying skill sets in highly dynamic and diverse working environment. They must be able to work independently, but also be a top contributor in small and large groups.
What You'll Do
Operation of Portable CMM equipment to support monitoring of production processes, commissioning of new productions and root cause activitiesExperience with Polyworks and/or Verisurf to carrying out portable special measurement requests, portable tooling measurements within the production lineCATIA or 3D CAD experience to work with native files as well as STEP and IGES to compare collected measurement data to nominal conditionLiaise with Engineering and Manufacturing functions to understand measurement requirement for special investigations, developing correct datum scheme, collection of scan data and detailed reports to communicate key findingsCertify fixtures in production line according to calibration schedule and report data comparing to historical measurementsRequirement to lead and support 5S activities to ensure that workplace is organized, equipment spares are properly maintained and material flows through the lab in an efficient manner

Expected Compensation
$30.50 - $44.84/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
