Job Description The primary objective of the Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Data & Performance position is to provide analytical and supply chain management expertise to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction for all Mazda dealers and distributors while driving vehicle sales and successful parts aftersales initiatives. This position is responsible for analyzing current business processes and using business intelligence tools to lead the development and implementation of efficiency improvements. Key duties include conducting root cause analysis for parts availability issues and resolving supplier shipment performance problems to maximize delivery performance across various service parts suppliers. The Senior Analyst will use various quantitative methods to collect and organize data into usable information that can be actionable, easily communicated, and distributed via consolidated reports or interactive dashboards. In addition, this position will assess and evaluate the procurement chain from open order to receipt for MNAO’s largest service part supplier, focusing on order fulfillment for U.S. dealers and other distributors. This role ensures optimal level of service parts inventory is available throughout the MNAO supply chain, including appropriate facing fill and inbound prioritization. Major Areas of Responsibility (MAR): Database Management & Business Intelligence - 40% Based on input from Supply Chain team members and Parts Operations Division (POD) management use business intelligence tools to design an interactive Supply Chain dashboard, providing MNAO teams with insight into supplier performance, backorder avoidance, and aging commodities. Manage ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) Accuracy, Supplier Scorecard, Supplier Risk Management (SRM) Access databases and Power BI Dashboards, including producing and delivering routine reporting. Drive monthly root cause analysis identifying trends and areas of opportunity with regular communication and/or presentations to management, MNAO teams, and regional or national dealer meetings. Develop a tracking dashboard to monitor MOS (months of supply), identify potential risks to supply flow to customers and take appropriate and preventative actions. Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support problem resolution, critical parts supply management, and benchmarking studies. Supplier Delivery Performance - 40% Interface with suppliers to identify and resolve supply issues, particularly in the areas of supplier constraints, delivery, lead time, planning parameters, parts supersession, and electronic data interchange/shipping notice. Liaison issues with Purchasing, Inventory Management, Parts Distribution Centers, IT, and suppliers. Ensure suppliers are meeting on-time delivery expectations utilizing MNAO’s Supplier Delivery Performance Scorecard KPIs by leading supply discussions with MC (Mazda Corporate), tracking full cycle shipping performance, and escalating issues as needed. Establish and coordinate Rate & Flow plans with underperforming suppliers to return supplier back to healthy supply status. Ensure new vehicle production (IPO) launch materials are prioritized with suppliers. Monitor and establish plans to support backorder avoidance/recovery. Actively investigate outstanding inbound shipments and item discrepancies. Perform ETD (Estimated Time of Delivery) manual updates within dealer application to promote transparency and improve customer satisfaction. Ensure appropriate actions are taken for purchase orders / transfer orders for service parts. Process Improvement - 20% Utilize ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) error tracking to identify gaps in process and coordinate with supplier to prevent future delays. Develop new methods of compiling and organizing data utilizing business intelligence tools and resources. Drive key cross-functional collaboration to ensure a smooth customer experience by resolving issues promptly and efficiently. Create comprehensive standard operational procedures to educate users on database functionalities and maintenance. Provide technical training and support to increase the Supply Chain team’s knowledge and analytical capability. Qualifications and Other Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant work experience, to include a combination of Demand planning Supply chain management Manual forecasting and planning Data collection and analysis Proven track record in the following: Ability to translate business questions into analyses, and present clear, actionable recommendations based on findings. Ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment with sound judgment and clear reasoning. Preferred but not required: Experience working in automotive parts operations Working knowledge of the following: Direct supplier management Vehicle production flow Parts establishment and cataloging Vehicle production and accessory planning Supply Chain Logistics Training/Certification: Logistics/ Supply Chain Management training and/or certification preferred, but not required. Project Management certification preferred, but not required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access database creation and maintenance, Power BI, Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn and effectively utilize other software applications used within the Company. Strong data analytical and interpretive skills. Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle E-Business Suites, OBIEE, SPP). Well-balanced interpersonal skills; Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management, employees, customers, and outside vendors; Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate both orally and in writing, using good grammatical form, both in general correspondence, as well as on technical issues. Must be analytical and a problem solver with the ability to identify problems and/or cause-effect relationships; identify key issues; secure relevant information from all appropriate sources; identify possible root causes of problems and develop and implement corrective actions for resolution. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential. Must be able to establish a course of action for self to accomplish specific goals. Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision and/or direction.
