What To Expect
As a Manufacturing Engineer- Pilot at Tesla you will be working with new vehicle platforms and will be responsible for low volume equipment/process design and implementation as well as supporting transition from low volume to high volume production which includes line and equipment integration, commissioning and production buy offs. You will be working with highly motivated and talented cross functional teams on multiple projects to support smooth launch and ramp of new products.
What You'll Do
Lead design for manufacturing studies collaborate with vendors one new equipment buildsReview simulation for design and process Support with designing equipment and process for low volume production linesManage project schedules, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure all necessary activities are in place to meet deadlinesCollaborate with internal cross-functional teams during product development. Collaborating with Controls engineering to ensure equipment is built to Tesla standards20% Travel Requirement for Domestic and International travel for Equipment FATsOn-site Commissioning of Equipment using factory and site acceptance testingMake/buy/ROI analyses as required and validating external suppliers using PPAPPlanning sufficient capacity to meet business targets for production output
